For Gods sake.
I have to drive into London every day!, there is NO way round this. I have to transport tools and equipment for my work. As a resident of Thamesmead I have the choice of either the Blackwall tunnel (over one hundred years old decripid and a complete bottle neck for traffic, this can cause jams to form all the way back past Bean! on the A2) or the Dartford tunnel (takes anything up to 2 hours to leave London get over the bridge and get back into town).
Why do you narrow minded fools always come out of the wood work when a hint progress is mentioned?. Face fact, traffic is set to increase in future years NO matter what you say or campaign for. Ask yourself if you are prepared to get out of your cars to ease it!. You moan about extra traffic in the area you live in but you could not give a toss for anyone who lives outside of the 2-3 miles area you drive to sainsburys and back in!. Would you even care if the bridge was being built in surrey?. Cause not.
Bet you think your helping the country? All you are doing is holding it back, move into the 21st century and realise that expansion and change is part of living within spitting distance of one of the largest capital cities in the world. If you don't like it move into the sticks!. 90% of the signs I have seen are 8 miles from where the bridge is being built anyway!!.
Not going to replie to any messages left in response of this as I have a life and am going to get on with it just saw the signs and become wound up with how narrow minded and pathetic some people are in this country.
It is going to be built anyway no matter what you fools say or do!. |
