I'm trying to locate a couple of Swift Mates. As is the case at this date in time, CRS is in power.
One mate was from Swift school Nov-Dec. '66 and we spent some time with my grandparents in New Mexico duroing the holidays. We caught a ride with another mate who was headed to San Antonio and dropped us off in Lordsburg, NM. It was very cold and windy. I think his first name was Gary. When we shipped out, I went to Da Nang COSDIV 12, and he went south, CRB, I think.
The other mate and I went on R&R to Japan in September '67. Had a great time. Got the grand tour from a Japanese gentleman we met in Tokyo train station.
I served on PCF 17, Crew 45A, OIC-Robert L. Sigrist, Jan. '67-Jsn. "68.
