vapor steam cleaners for grout
Hello fellow workers! Has anyone used any type of vapor steam cleaner for cleaning NASTY grout? I've been at my current job for about 4 months now and I'm trying to tackle the grout now. I can get the grout clean using conventional methods, but I get complaints about the strong chemical smells. I don't enjoy it to much myself! I've read wonderful things about these products and I was wondering if any of you had feedback on them. Thanks and keep it clean! |

We have a Ladybug Steam Vapor cleaner. It does a great job on grout. It is a very time consuming operation, but it will clean grout. You have to use the pinpoint nozzle and run it down each grout line. Naturally it goes faster if the tile is large. Mosaic tile would be VERY time consuming. S Fann |

HI, THE VAPOR STEAM CLEANERS CAN WORK, BUT CAN BE VERY LABOR INTENSIVE. THERE ARE SOME PRETTY GOOD "GROUT" CLEANERS OUT THERE. THE ONE I HAVE THE BEST LUCK WITH IS A PRODUCT CALLED "SHOOTER" BY DYNAMIC RESEARCH. IT IS A MILD ACID AND IT HAS A REASONABLY NICE SMELL, KINDA LIKE WINTERGREEN. IT WORKS PRETTY WELL. SMALLER SECTIONS AT A TIME, FLOOR MACHINE WITH A SCRUB BRUSH WORKS BEAT, BUT A DECK BRUSH WILL ALSO WORK. IT ALSO WILL MAKE YOU FLOORS LESS SLIPPERY. THEY HAVE LOTS OF GOOD PRODUCTS. YOU CAN LOOK TEM UP @ www.saf-t-step.com GOOD LUCK WITH WHAT EVER YOU DO.

We have the TR6 vapor steam cleaner that is used primarily for cleaning tile and grout commercially. Great product and affordably priced. Have used it for a couple of years now and have purchased 2 more.
