wood floors and auto scrubbers.

Has any one had a problem with their wood floors after cleaning them with a auto scrubber? I am talking large wood floors, like a gym floor, and large problems, like the whole floor destroyed. We have one of the nicest floors in the state, and I want to keep it that way. I heard rumors that even with a auto scrubber, some water will soak into the wood and cause problems.

Re: wood floors and auto scrubbers.

Check with your vendor for proper care. We have a five year rotation wet-sanding program. This year we auto scrubbed and top coated. It last all year. Don't worry about SOME water streaks... if you still are, have someone follow you with a dry mop. Do you have any finish on the flooring?

Re: wood floors and auto scrubbers.

Yea, we have two coats of varnish on the floor now. With that much protection, I would think it would be pretty hard for water to get to the wood. Our vender is the one who warned us about the auto scrubber on the floor. He is the same guy who does the Utah Jazz floor and the Denver Nuggets, so I would think he knows what he is talking about. Thanks for the tip about dry moping to get rid of a streak, that’s a great idea.
