unions?

If you file an enviormental grievance, and than your boss & his union starts to retailate, and they keep putting off grievances, and your union agrees to it, then it tells you your own union is not representing you. Right??
After 3 cancelled grievances, my own union told me he can not talk to me about my case anymore!
Unions do not represent you, they just take your dues, and worry about their own pocket not the employee's, and are in coughts with all the other unions!!

Re: unions?

yes, I too have had similar experiences with the union. And now one of the favorite excuses is they are focusing on political stuff with dues and time and they repeat that we should do our own standing against injustices, contract violations, do our own fighting. But what I know is they weren't there for me when I needed them, more than once! I could write a book about some of this crap (someone maybe should)...Some unions need a real "cleansing". Makes me really, really mad. What the heck are the dues for when they don't help all of us who are paying? then they raise the dues. Errrrrr...

Re: unions?

My boss harrasses me every day! He and his union, and mine, think I am going to go away, but they have another thing coming to them! They first fired me, then reneged when they realized they couldn't do that, so they demoted me instead. My salary is much less, and he owes me money for a holiday.
I did nothing wrong, except tell my boss I wouldn't change asbestos tiles, so he did it himself! All the staff & children were exposed. I tried to tell him it is against federal law, but he couldn't care less. I have been in the same union for 13 years, and now they want me to go into another union, without vesting my pension. I refused, and their all PO'd, including my own union who is still taking my union dues even though I am not suppose to be in that union!
Unions are corrupt, and you are better off without them, because they do not represent you anyway!!

Re: unions?

I know time framing is everything when it comes to things like this. There is so much involved that the lawyer who was handling it felt it was such a good case, but did not have the man power to do me any justice. He is recommending another lawyer for me, and my timing is just right!!
