I am a disillusioned Carp angler who has recently turned to new challenges. I am amember of the Perchfishers and a life member of the ACA and have been fishing for over 30 yrs. I have started to get an interest in Catfishing after reading articles on the web. I also have absolutley zero knowledge of fishing for cat's I live in Surrey and would like to know if there are any suitable waters in the county or is it a case of travelling. I would also like to know how difficult it is to catch Catfish ? I know it will depend on Weather conditions, time of year etc..but is it a case of putting in multiple Rod hours and are the results worthwhile ? what tackle is required ? Are there any teaching schemes or experienced cat anglers who do day teach ins. Sorry for all of the probing but I assume this is the best place to ask these questions. Please be kind with your answers. Regards. Neal Webb |
