Hi, finally back with some results for you. Having only left skeleton staff in Spain for two months while I have been home looking after the kids (school holidays) and because it is normally very quiet during July and August as it is so hot, it turned out to be quite an exceptional summer for us.
For the two months we had 53 clients catching 1315 catfish of which 446 were ton up fish. We also had good results with carp during this period simply by fishing close in away from baited areas. One group accounted for 8 30lb plus fish.
On the third week of October last year we surpassed 1,000 ton up catfish for the year, by the third week of August this year we passed 2,000 ton up catfish. Our new running totals are:
Clients 235
Catfish 6,707
Ton Ups 2,100
Total Weight 522,710lb
Yes that is right, over half a million pounds of catfish!
We are now averaging just under 5 fish per client per day and nearly nine ton up catfish per client per week.
Jamie gloved a 163lb for a client today totally empty no hook marks, don’t usually get the big ones till the end of the sept start oct , hopefully we will catch it again at a bigger weight……watch this space |
