Dear Doris and hurting mother,
I know what long weary road you both are traveling on. I have walked in your shoes for seven years.
It is a daily struggle to overcome the loss of our child. To block the memory of the way our child died. To see them as they were. To the people that have NEVER travel this road they do not have a clue.
When people would tell me it would get easier, I thought they were the ones that had lost their mind. However, it is true. I do want to say this though. It is hard work. You will start to heal mentally and emotionally, it will not be over night, but it will happen. One day you will find yourself smiling and remembering the good times and the precious memories of your child.
