Message:   My son has had 5 final surgeries. He was initially treated for scoliosis and there was a hardware failure. Thye refused his lumbar spine and contracted a hospital acquired mrsa infection. This resulted in removal of all the hardware. He was just refused from t4 to l4 3 1/2 weeks ago. Surgery was long and difficult due to scar tissue and twice there were dural tears which were fixed during surgery. Two weeks ago he started with severe headaches upon standing or sitting. His medications were played with but nothing seems to help the pain upon standing except Toredol which he could only take for 5 days. This helped minimally. They are talking about doing a myelogram on him this week. Is this the right course to take???? and what else should I look for when trying to find someone who can help him. He is only 15 and has had a very difficult year and a half and I am hoping to resolve this without multiple procedures. Any advice would be welcomed. Thank you
