Message:   What would cause positional headaches to occur when there has not been a spinal tap, surgery of any kind or any trauma? My mother has been having headaches that are only relieve by lying down for the past 3 weeks. She has had two blood patches done, neither of which have worked, as well as numerous cat scans and mri's etc which haven't turned up any signs of a hole. Is it possible for these headaches to come on for no reason? Any help or advice would be appreciated
