After clicking the 'Import' radio button, the A drive is read in short bursts with a longer burst right at the end. The activity light on the drive goes out and the Flu Audit freezes with the hourglass showing. I have tried leaving it for 10 mins, removing, re-downloading and re-installing but all to no avail. Has anyone any ideas ? Thanks
This may be down to a data error on the floppy disc. This is typical bevahiour when the disc is corrupted. Take the precaution of formatting the disc before use.
Hello Mick,
Which clinical system are you using? There are either 64 or 108 queries depending on the system. I suggest initially that you make sure there are the correct number of responses on the floppy (64 or 108). Also, you should be using a different floppy to the one you issued the queries on (unless you cleaned the original before exporting responses). It's possible that the floppy may be corrupted, so it might help to format a new one and export the results again.
I was using a quick-formatted disk so I did a ful format and repeated the process. There are 64 reports on disk and spot-checking shows I can view the first 2, last 2 and several in the middle. Flu toolkit still hangs at the apparent end. I tried counting the read bursts to try to figure out where it was failing but I just lost count (not unexpectedly). All that is left is to shift the whole thing to another PC and try that, so I will have a go next week.
Hi Mick
I had problems loading the flu tool kit as per the instructions floppy disks etc, what I did was go into Quest browser into the library and installed it from the web. It installed with no problems and ran great. Hope this is of use.
