This group comprises the RM's and ET's and was taken on Midway, Is after Sea Robin's 3rd patrol.
Sea Robin arrived there a week or so before the end of the war. From the looks on their faces, I'd guess that they had received the good news and were looking forward to heading home shortly.
Several pictured here, I am in contact with. Walker came up from FL to our last reunion. Pink Neal, who I 'IM' with almost weekly promises to be in Charleston. He's 89 and lives near Myrtle Beach. He served on Sea Robin from 44-48, then came back in 59-60, then retired from her. |
