KLOCH, Ronald Leon, 77, of Apache Junction, formerly of Chicago, Ill., peacefully went home to be with the Lord on January 29, 2008. He was born and raised in Chicago, he attended Harrison High School and enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1947. He served on the historical USS Nautilus (SSN-571), which was the first atomic-powered submarine to surface beneath the North Pole. He was the nephew of Oscar- and award-winning composer and conductor Irwin Kostal. He was the loving and devoted husband of Susanne Maria of 46 years; beloved father of June (Paul) Bachta, Roy Porter, Terri (Jeff) Pasowicz, the late Mark Porter, Rhonda (Bob) McGuire, James R. (Debi) Butler-Kloch; grandfather of Rachel, Crystal, Adam, Nicole, Jessica, Max, Sammy, Nathan, Benjamin, Amanda, Kenrda, Jake, Ryan, Sheena, Sarah, Jimmy Jr.; great-grandpa of Collette, Carly, Nick and Noah. Memorial services were held Feb. 1 at Rock Shadows RV Resort in Apache Junction, officiated by Pastor Dave Evans of Calvary Chapel Saving Grace of Gilbert. Full ceremony plans of internment at Arlington National Cemetery in Virginia are tentatively planned for the spring. Service information may be requested at ruforHim2@yahoo.com. |
