I am sorry but yes it is quite common that hotels have compulsory dinners for special nights like Christmas- and New years Eve. If you do not want to dine at the hotel you have chosen, I suggest that you try to find an other hotel. If you are a Hotel Express member you may choose among our 3500 hotels in 101 countries. If not I suggest that you try USA Hotel Guide. You find a link to USA Hotel Guide at the top of the page if search for a country in "our hotels". Good luck, and Merry Xmas to you too!

Hi all!!
I hope some one will answer me. I have planned to celebrate New Years eve at a hotel, and they tell me I have to have a dinner reservation for new years eve in addition to the normal room reservation, and I must say the dinner is expencive. Is this normal prosedure?? Does anyone know??
