I just finished reading Pride and Prejudice...loved it! But, I have some questions regarding the print. For example, ------shire ( What does this mean? It is printed this way everytime the characters mention the militia. Also, what does &c. mean when they sign a letter? Can anyone satisfy my curiousity?
