Re: Art of Protest

Article:
As a musician from the UK, I'd point to the free party / illegal rave scene of the early 90s, outlawed by the Criminal Justice Bill. Look up 'Battle of the Beanfield', your search engine will surely find something.

Replying to Original Article:

Hey, i teach a class at an alternative high school called "the art of protest." We learn about how creative expression can be a form of civil disobedience, how people in oppressive situations use art as a means for acting out against repression. Does anyone out there have any ideas for the class? I would love to get feedback. We have already studied the prison-industrial complex, we are finishing up a unit on the Pinochet regime in Chile, and we are about to talk about the U.S. civil rights movement.
