I had a female at 1 1/2 yrs. old do her prelims at the end of her heat cycle. The Vet says he thinks they will pass but one hip looks a little loose. I know there is subluxation during the cycle. Could you tell me how much????? I probably should do them again after the heat.

Some girls have enough to matter (1 or 2 grades) some girls have none. It all depends on the individual.

One of my girls is from lines that are known to have subluxation during their cycles so I was told to not do any x-rays for certification until mid cycyle as a precaution.

I would suggest waiting and re-doing the x-rays in another month or so.
