News outlets inundated the Brown family with requests to pay a visit to the 6-week-old pup. By late Thursday afternoon, the dog was slumbering with his siblings as Brown gave interviews. Also on hand were the pup's father, Rex, and great-grandfather, Hans.
From just a cursory glance at the breeder's website, the general pedigree offerings appear to be mostly West German show lines with working titles. Generally, (but not always, as some can be hard) they're more mellow tempered than the harder working lines or the extra drivey sport lines. Leerburg is a working-line kennel, though high volume in litter production. The Wynthea name (sire of one of the stud dpogs) is the kennel name a respected long-time GSD breeder who is an AKC obedience pioneer.
I too am rather concerned about the apparent lack of OFAs, "a" stamps or other hip/elbow clearances on the parents.
Don't have time for further research, though I'd be tempted to look elsewhere for a GSD as I prefer working lines myself.
