If it is a defect present at birth, then it doesn't need to be guaranteed for a year - it needs to be addressed before the pup ever goes home!

I was being tongue in cheek by taking the definition literally ... present at birth. My point is whether these folks only address those defects that are actually present at birth and give the buyers a year to discover them
