Panacur - puppies under 6 weeks of age?

My vet gave me panacur for my pups, but I read on line that it is for pups 6 weeks and up. Mine are only 5 weeks.

Anyone use this under 6 weeks?

I use it at 3 weeks, 4 weeks and 5 weeks.

I can't put my hands on an official source at the moment but I know I have seen Panacur advertising as safe throughout all stages of pregnancy and for puppies. I will see if I can find that in writing while at work tomorrow!

I use it as needed on pups as young as 4-5 weeks.

I contacted the company a while ago and was told that it was perfectly safe. My vets agree!

Do you treat the mom at the same time you're treating the puppies if they're not weaned yet? Otherwise, wouldn't she reinfect her kids?

I use Panacur (fenbendazole) on pregnant bitches and nursing puppies starting at 2 weeks of age. You can find specific recommendations by referencing the Intervet website.
