Does anyone have any suggestions for ichy dogs. With all of the cold weather in the Midwest this year, my dogs are miserable with dry skin. Although vibrating beds can be fun, having it start at all hours of the night is not.
I know it is not allergies or fleas. They started scratching when the heat in my house came on.
Please help me with some suggestions for releif!
There is a very nice product by the Virbac company called Humilac Spray. It's a fragrance free humectant spray that adds moisture to the skin and coat without making the dog look greasy. You simply spray it on and message to the skin. I actually use it on my hands at work...it really relieves the itchiness from dry skin. It's also relatively cheap...about $7.50-$8.50 in most pet supply catalogs.
