Love a lot of those chocs that came down from Donalbain Marksman.

Re: Top chocolate studs now and then....

I will agree with Milk Chocolate.

The two top Current chocolate stud-dogs are:

Ch. Lubberline Pumpernickle
Wilcare Leisure Suit Larry (Ch. pointed, I think he is close to finishing.)

Both boys have produced some beautiful get. I enjoy the photograph's on Laura's site of both.

If you are at a speciality where either or both boys are with her, don't be timid to ask her to see them. She is accomodating & a great stud-dog owner to work with.

I'm not advertising for her or the boys. I am expressing personal experience and other's experiences shared with me.

I also like Am.Can. Ch. Woodhull's Roger That owned by Abby Crosby. She is also a great stud-owner to work with & Roger is as sweet as the Baker & Dauber. She has Roger get, Venetian's Copy That who is looking like his Father.

Vinny is in both pedigrees but alas he is as the Rainbow Bridge. I don't know if there is frozen semen available from Vinny. God Speed Vinny.

Re: Top chocolate studs now and then....

Wow, Thank you for the wonderful compliments on the boys.

Yes, Vinny frozen semen is available. I am lucky enough to use it this spring. Many times I traveled with Vinny in the van and he had a wonderful temperament and beautiful brown eyes. He was a sweetheart of a boy.

I would also recommend Ch Stonecrest Davey Crockett. Another mushy sweet boy with gorgeous brown eyes.

Belgairn Tom Jones

Re: Top chocolate studs now and then....

I have always loved Ch Epochs Bacardi Joe Banner.

Re: Re: Top chocolate studs now and then....

Charway John Brown was a stunning dog! So much type.

Re: Top chocolate studs now and then....

Banners Muskelunge Buckeye "Bucky" has produced incredibly! and is behind a lot of good stuff,

Re: Re: Top chocolate studs now and then....

I agree Charway John Brown

Re: Re: Re: Top chocolate studs now and then....

Ch Saltmeadow Smoke WC stole my heart, May he romp forever in Heaven.

Re: Re: Re: Re: Top chocolate studs now and then....

Top in the past, and still some frozen I bet. Beau Webster, Willcare Masterpiece, Epoch Edward of Bonadventure, Vinny from Lubberline, Musklelunge Buckeye. Today, the boys from Lor-al for sure. Chocolates are so much harder, not a nice clear picture for the future. More across the board. Wish we did have a Gordy. Has anyone tryed a chocolate to him ?

Re: Top chocolate studs now and then....

Marbra Guardsman. Marbra Guardsman. And Marbra Guardsman...

GO Brody and Simon!!!!!!!

Liberty's Broad Ridge TDI (Brody) and CH Librtycrk Sound of Silence TDI (Simon)are producing some very nice typey offspring.

Re: Top chocolate studs now and then....

Some influental sires of the past who produced well- did much more than look pretty for the breed...

Willcare Masterpiece (going back to Charway John Brown)
and his sons Ashway's Willcare Impression and Borador's Willcare MasterCopy

Muskelunge Go Buckeye

and then there is the three generation line of power producers:
Keepsakes Beau Webster and his son
Epoch's Edward of Bonaventure and his son
Bonaventure Lubberline Viscount

Contributing to chocolates but not being chocolate themselves:
Tom Cobbley of Charway
Lindall Mastercraft
Lindall A Bit Of the Action
Mr. Blue of Blackamoor and Tabatha
Dickendall Davaron Anslo (son of Arnold)

And we would be remiss to forget important ladies to the color:
Bradking Beverly
Boradors Not Bad for Brown
Sandalwood Tapestry

Makes it exciting to wonder which sire of today will be on the list of tomorrow!

Sorry, all titles left off names for sake of time.
