NY bill would make you a pet dealer if you sell FIVE

1. New York Assembly Bill 5507 makes you a Pet dealer if you sell FIVE animals, changes exemptions on pet dealership, defines your house differently, etc. You lose rights to prevent search and seizure, for even what look like paperwork offenses, and would have no way to get your dogs back. Scary.

3. Time to be an activist, dog lovers! I have done rescue for decades, but most of the bills are WRONG and will attack the good folk even more than the bad. Let's enforce the laws that we have, and make sure animals are in humane situations, rather than attack everyone who has dogs, or cats, or livestock. I am against the erosion of our constitutional rights that prevent someone from taking our homes, our belongings, and our animals. Part of my right to happiness is my right to have my dogs--on the couch, hunting,in the ring, or napping in a crate at a show.
4. Illinois bill was shelved--let's shelve these others.
