Miami Valley - and other shows

The total number of dogs entered at MVLRC is 200. This seems lower than last year.

Potomac was down, are other shows down? I realize the economy is slowing down and there is some worry about saving money.

If you went to Miami Valley last year but are missing this year - why? I am not trying to cause trouble, I am looking at dog shows as a barometer for the economy.

I am just curious. No flames - no arguments, just an observation.

Re: Miami Valley - and other shows

While I'm not show secretary this year for MVLRC, I believe the dog count on Friday is 209 (same as last year) with entries down by 10. On Saturday the dog count is up by 2 (total of 229) with entries down by 8. I'm thrilled we've held steady for one year at least!

By way of comparison, in 2004 - just 5 years ago - we had 348 dogs with 508 entries, and it was still a show that spanned two days. Now that's depressing....

Nope the entries at Pioneer Valley LRC are the highest EVER according to a club member who posted on this forum previously
