persistent pupillary membrane

I CERF'd a whole litter of 7 yesterday and all but one puppy has a unilateral PPM, all iris to iris.

I know one or two is not a big deal, but the 6/7? What do you think? Any experiences with this?

Re: persistent pupillary membrane

It is my understanding is that Iris to Iris is no big deal, odd that so may of the litter are affected though.

Re: persistent pupillary membrane

I had one many years ago that I gave to my mom, and when I went to do the CERF's Dr.Covitz told me "She should have stayed in the cooker longer".

Re: persistent pupillary membrane

It is very interesting that there were more than a few in the litter.

I'd simply make my choice and retest later, and speak with an ACVO doc.

Were the puppies early?
