Say at a four day show circuit a dog or bitch receives their championship can they still enter in the regular classes? Or are they automatically bumped up to BOB?
if your needed to keep your dog in the classes to
maintain a major, be sure to let the other exhibitors know that your dog finished and if they would have a problem if you did not move up but kept him in the class. Then it would be a matter of concience of how hard you pushed to win, or if you would be ok with not
trying to win in order to let the major hold and go to
another. If you have a problem either way--let every one know that your moving up and breaking the major.
sometimes its a no win situation either way you go.
If you do bump up, take your paperwork with you when you pick up your armband. Sometimes there is a communications breakdown between the ring and the
superintendent and you will need to prove that you have moved your dog up. It happened at one of the Ventura shows this weekend (non lab ring)and the handler didn't have the paperwork and almost missed showing.
