I know this is not a dog related question. But in these tough times, being self employed with bad credit I need a lone, small amount 1000.00. I don't have any family members to ask either. Does any one out there know of any lenders that help people like me??

It is hard to get an unsecured loan. If you have a car that is paid for, you may be able to refinance it.

Try selling your stuff on Ebay. It might be nice to unclutter your house anyway.

Get a second job for the holidays. Many stores and even the post office hire temporary help over the holidays. We all fall on hard times, but when you have no family or friends that can lend you money it is a red flag to me that you do this often or maybe you borrow and do not pay back.

Check out Dave Ramsey and see if any of his info can help you. Loans are great but you have to pay them back and often times there are hard feelings when payback is untimely or "forgotten".
Sell things you don't use, sell something you can make, find extra work. It may suck during the here and now, but you'll be happier for it on the other side.

Agree re the second job .. I did that one Christmas when I was strapped for cash (and while I had family that I could have borrowed from, I didn't want to). I ended up staying on part time for a year - selling wine at a wine store. LOVED the job, loved meeting the people/customers, loved the Christmas "rush" and my co-workers were great. I ended up hiring one full time at my "real job". It ended up being a REALLY positive experience for me .. hope that you are so lucky.

There are payday loans or if you have your car paid off there are title loan places.

Do you have any flea markets in your area? We have an indoor & outdoor flea market in our area on Sundays. Last weekend was decent weather, so hubby cleaned out the storage sheds and garage and spare rooms of the house with all our 'good junk' and headed to that flea market on Sunday. Granted, he had to price the items really low, $3 - $5, but people grabbed them up! He came home with around $300 in his pocket after paying the outside table/space rental of $25.

All very good ideas but I have no x junk laying around, second job wont work with my job, have loan on vehicle,as for realitves there old living off limited imcome. I just want to find a lender who will give me a break!

Try this, don't spend money you don't have. Make it first then spend it as you please, maybe even save some for the future. Now that's an idea....

It is a contract set up between the two of you and there is usually a higher interest rate.

If you need the money to buy an essential household item, say a refrigerator for example, how about trying one of those "rent to own" stores?

I can't imagine how you could possibly get an unsecured loan. Think about all the stud dog owners who got stiffed. Think of all the ex-friends out there. You either have to put something up, or get a credit card and a cash advance. You are dreaming if you think the good fairy is going to appear with $1000 for you. You've received lots of good practical suggestions. Sorry to have to tell you, it is time to quit dreaming.

realistically his motto is sell everything! work that odd second job and sell the car find a clunker to drive.
If you feel you are beyond those then you have not come to reality with your problem and will continue to dig your hole deeper.
