Question about HealthGene color test

Hey guys.

I tested one of my blacks to see if she was hiding yellow or choc in there. (her sire was byc).

The test came back dominant black which made me very happy, but after I got those results I was told by a friend that HealthGene does not reliably pick up the choc gene.

Have any of you had this experience with them?

Is there another test that more reliably picks up the choc gene?

Re: Question about HealthGene color test

There are 3 genes for chocolate and it's important to test for all three...
B Locus (DNA markers tested – S41C, P345Pel, Q331X)

For the color tests I use DDC http://www.vetdnacenter.com/canine-dna-coat-color.html as they seem to be most reliable.
