question about coloring and "lab mix" rescue

Is it possible for a Lab mix to come out colored like a pit, brown and white?

Re: question about coloring and "lab mix" rescue

yes. "mix"

Ok I just wasn't sure if a Lab could produce those colors (fawn and white spotted). You know like a black that doesn't carry choc can't produce it....right?

yes. "mix"

Re: question about coloring and "lab mix" rescue

There are many Labs who might carry a white factor for a white leg and bib, with a milky mustache or chin. That being said, the politically correct or desperate purebred Pit Bull is sometimes labeled a "Lab/Boxer" mix or a "Lab/Terrier" mix or just a Lab mix. Otherwise many shelters would have nothing but Pit Bulls and Am Staffs for adoption: you know, all those purebred dogs the animal rights activists tell us are in shelters. Seriously, though, there are a LOT of Labs to rescue out there.

Do you have a link to a photo?

"Mix" doesn't mean 1/2 and 1/2 mix necessarily; could be 1/16 Lab and whatever else......

Yup, muggles can be any color
