I've never been to this and would someone please explain the difference than a regular specialty?

It is the national because it is put on by the labrador parent (national) club, rather than a regional club.

Also, they have working ability (WC, JH, SH, etc) as part of the event which the regional clubs do not at their specialties.

When IS the Potomac, anyway? Since it is the real National (International???)....

Look on the Potomac club site for their dates. Don't be so dismissive - labradors are a sporting breed and it's nice to see them perform in conformation AND hunt test, etc.!

Gosh, that would be so great if it were in the NE again.. maybe even we could find a way for the agility folks to not have to slug around in the pouring rain??

Love to attend the National. Where else can you see so many Labs doing cool stuff and the amazing versatility of our breed.

2011 LRC National is in the planning stages. The dates for the 2011 National will be October 10th to 16. The 15th and 16th will be the hunt test dates. The location is the Brooklyn Fairgrounds, Brooklyn, Connecticut. The New England Lab clubs, LRC of Greater Boston, LRC of Pioneer Valley and Pawcatuck River LRC will be assisting the LRC in putting on this week long event.
