I know that there are several first aid kits out there for purchase, but I would really like to put together one that is full of useful stuff, vs some useful and some that will never get used.

What would you recommend to have in the kit?

Is this for Human or Dog?

Some things I keep the first aide box that doesn't come in ready made ones:

-Sanitary napkin
-eye drops (Visine, etc, sample size)
-VetWrap
-Poop bags
-original Listerene (sample bottle)
-tube of Vaseline lip balm (it's just Vaseline in a tube)
-velcro muzzle
-disposable booties
-neosporin
-cotton tipped applicators
-round tipped scissors
-tweezery things (for pulling ticks, etc)
-Gold Bond spray
-bulb aspirartor (from the human baby department)
-digital thermometer (baby department)
-the spoon and dropper they sell for liquid meds for babies
-small bottle of hand sanitizer
-travel sizedpack of tissues
- leatherman multi-tool

Of course I also have the standard gauze pads, tape, etc as well as a pet Emergency Pocket Guide and a copy Normal Vital Signs and Immodium & Pepto doseage. It's all kept in a soft sided expandable lunch box.
