Our new mom is doing a great job with the fronts but is a little sloppy with the rears.
Can you guys recommend a gentle way to get the dried stool off?
What can I put on afterwards that is gentle and soothing but might get Mom to pay a little more attention to the tooshies?

A few years ago my husband brought me home the Pamper's Sensitve Skin Baby Wipes to use on the puppies. At first I thought he was crazy....but they do work well. Since then....I always have a large box on hand.....buy them at B Js....much cheaper.

Take your puppy and hold him/her in a container of warm water so that the rear soaks. Gently pick off the feces and towel dry your puppy.

After the dried poop is cleaned off, rub on a little butt butter, ie peanut butter. Mom will often pick do a better job with a bit of encouragement
