What is the difference in the show leads used at a specialty show than a regular show? The pictures that I've seen they hang down around the dogs shoulder/neck area when stacked. I would like to use this type of lead so if anyone can tell where I can get them and the name of them, I would appreciate it.

You can buy english slip leads at most kennel supply vendors. google english kennel leads or english slip leads. No advertising, by the way.

I don't like those Weathtops with their charm. I prefer Alvalleys. He has anything you could ask for.

What I like, especially at Potomac he will explain what to use for a particular dog and why. Then he's watched us in the ring, especially with a beautiful leather slip I bought and broke in during the Sweeps class. OP, you might want to go with that braided leather. It doesn't slide as much.

I bought a lead quickly at another vendor with small leather pieces on it. It didn't slide as well as I would have liked and was $8 US more. Youch! Now I purchase ahead of time and if done in bulk with a friend he gives us a small discount.
