Just a friendly reminder that entries close next Friday. You'll notice we gave you an extra day this year - in the past, we've closed on Thursday. Since the MLK holiday tends to catch folks off guard, we hope this will help reduce the panic and save express mail charges for some of you.

Can we enter online, or is it all by mail?

You are welcome to send your entries to me via email, but since we're not equipped to accept credit cards, a check or money order would have to follow by snail mail.

You can enter online via Infodog until noon on Wednesday, but there's a hefty surcharge (per dog, per entry!) for the convenience. The telephone entry services (contact information on our web site) have been easy to work with and can take entries up until the hour of closing.

Also, a heads up for those who may have stayed at the Holiday Inn Express Carowinds in the past. As of Jan 1, this is no longer an HI property, currently doing business independently under the name "Express Inn Carowinds." As in the past, dogs are not permitted in rooms, but they are offering a special weekend rate.
