That isn't true. You can request pool or court. But not this year! If you want a room in two years, you may be able to. I don't prefer poolside, but that is because I have no desire to use those facilities.
One year I booked a holidome room online and paid extra ahead of time. When I got there the holidome rooms were not avail. I was able to get the refund for the extra a paid but you pretty much get what you get. It all depends on what time and what day you check in. Don't get me wrong I love staying at the host hotel. Any room is fine with me.
