Crate pad recommendations for a yellow dog?

I have a yellow (first yellow ever) and his elbows are getting a little dis-colored (reddish). He gets blankets on his crate (wire crate), but moves them so he's always on the plastic pan. Are there any good crate pads that are hard for the Doha to move around? The idea would be to make him sleep on the pad for comfortabd support to his elbows. Also, he has a show coming up, do I need to worry about the slight red-tinge?
Thank you.

Re: Crate pad recommendations for a yellow dog?

I have seen these crate pads being used, as long as your yellow boy isnt a chewer:

Im not sure of the name of the vendor that sells these at shows, maybe someone can fill in the blanks :)

Re: Crate pad recommendations for a yellow dog?

I make my own crates mats and have done the following on some, but I think you could do this to ones you buy too if you can sew, depending how thick they are. To keep them in place, I sew little loop cords near each corner of the long ends and then fasten with small metal snap/clasps to a post on the crate (of course if you're using a vari-kennel type, this won't work).

Though I've moved to stall mats (cut to size) for all of my crates because I have a number of naughty chewers ;)
