Our precious 6 yr old Spinone girl dog developed an odd patch of paler skin on the top of one of her nostrils. She is normally Roan coloured, so the normal nose colour is a deep chocolate brown.
It looks almost as it the skin is thinner, and it has led after some 2 months to a small split in the skin. Not surprisingly, cortisone / antibiotic cream gets licked off inside 1 minute, but the symptoms has our vet stumped.
There is apparently a Labrador/retreiver complaint called snow nose. but has anyone come across anything similar in Spinones ?
(We don't think it is due to trauma/ sticking her nose where she shouldn't, but it is always possible. I guess it would have healed by now if that was the case.)
