The latest version of the Crew Directory has been posted to the web.
This version adds a new feature that will allow you to answer the age old question ... "Are there any swiftboats still in service anywhere?" as you will find out by doing a bit of historical reading there are indeed Mark I, Mark II and Mark III swiftboats still in active service with various navies of the world.
Of course there also are a few other changes/updates, such as a newly found crew (the first crew on the 56 boat), numerous name and e-mail/address changes, new adds to the retired military list and regretably a couple new additions to the still on patrol listings.
A while back I got an email from a Swifty who served in An Thoi with me and he has remained in Vietnam since 1975. This guy somehow got my email address from Google and through our conversation he remembers me but I don't. He mentioned some of the patrols that we went together as well as some old names that escaped my mind; the information seem to be legitimate. I asked him if he's seen any Swift Boats in VN and his response was as late as early 80 he still saw some in Saigon's river but since then they all disappear.
