Texas Swift Boat Mini-Reunion
September 15th -16th

The Texas Mini-Reunion will be held in beautiful Galveston, Texas this year September 15th -16th. The plan is to get together for fun and fellowship on the Gulf Coast, so plan to attend and renew old friendships. ALL Swifties are invited even if you don’t live in Texas (especially Jim Deal).

Schedule

Friday September 15th

7:00 PM -10:00 PM Icebreaker at the Hospitality Suite (place TBA)

Saturday September 16th

9:00 AM – Meet for Tour of the Strand (Historic Galveston Shopping District) this will include a tour of the Elissia, a 19th century sailing ship.

2:00 PM – Get-together at Seawolf Park. Seawolf Park is the home of the USS Cavalla, SSK-244 submarine and Destroyer Escort USS Stewart (DE-238). We will break out our lawn chairs and enjoy the sea breeze, while we share TRUE sea stories and enjoy ice-cold watermelon and cold drinks.

7:00 PM – Dinner TBA

The attached link will give you all the Galveston Hotels and their rates (bottom of page). I have contacted the following two hotels and they seem to have good rates for Galveston and they are on the Seawall. FYI – Galveston hotels require a contract and a deposit for blocked rooms. Therefore, we must all make our own hotel arrangements.
