I contributed to Swift Boat for the last presidental election. I am wondering where you guys are in this election. My husband is a retired Navy EOD Warrant and we are both very concerned about the possibility of Obama being the next President. We fear the military will end up where it went with the last Democratic President. We also fear our enemies will perceive the US as having a liberal and it will open us to attacks on the scale of 9/11. Please get into this campaign, I really believe you made a difference in the last Presidental election and Obama is pulling out the stops with his use of outside organizations. McCain needs the same and this is a man who gave almost his all in Vietnam and he deserves our help now. The country needs the Swift Boat voice. Thank you.

Ms. Hains- Thank you for taking the time to contact us at the Swift Boat Sailors Association Inc.(SBSA). You've touched on an area to which we are very sensitive. The SBSA operates as a "Veterans' Organization" under the guidelines of the IRS. Our charter and years of strict practice prohibit us from becoming involved in political affairs of any kind under any circumstances. It is not unusual for people to mistake our group for another "Political Group" that we understand is no longer in existence.
