My brother Lt.CMDR Wesley A. Hoch U.S.N. was assigned as the first advisor to the Junk Force at Phu Quoc in 1963 and at the time was the only American on the Island. This was all just before Swift Boats arrived in 1965. He wrote a book about his experience.
