I was just told by my parents yesterday that my dad was diagnosed with lung cancer as well as a spot on his liver. He is being sent to the local cancer center in Erie in order to determine what it is and the course of action required. He was informed by the VA that this is directly caused by his exposure to Agent Orange during his time served in Vietnam. His name is John Hecker. We are hoping that it was caught early enough to treat successfully. He can not talk due to pressure on his vocal cords. I know some of you probably know him. I'm sure an e-mail and words of encouragement would help brighten his day. And, thank you all for your service.
