Re: Sub school training manual 1961

I have one that is on the internet. I'll post the link when I get home from CO. It has all the systems and diagrams.

Re: Sub school training manual 1961

Frenchy, I found it on the internet one time but failed to book mark it and was not able to find it again. I would appreciate if you could leave the link
Thanks Buttons

SHIPMATES.

I've added a link to the manual in the MENU BOXES at the top of the page. Just scroll up and you'll find it. It has been on-line for quite a long time.

In doing this I screwed up the look of the menu & the page itself, but am working to correct it.

Buttons,

http://books.google.com/books?id=F6m44VMoWtAC&pg=PR2&lpg=PR2&dq=navpers+1616+the+diesel+submarine&source=bl&ots=gMkX72ZXMk&sig=tBLHb0jpLirePWjBUUgeMVnu0O0&hl=en#v=onepage&q&f=fals
This is what I found. Have it bookmarked at home, but we are traveling and I have a laptop.

Re: Sub school training manual 1961

YOU MEAN YOU HAD TO HAVE A BOOK TO LEARN ABOUT THE BOATS?

YOU MEAN YOU HAD TO HAVE A BOOK TO LEARN ABOUT THE BOATS?

Chuck,

And for SOME OF US that was not nearly enough.

Re: Sub school training manual 1961

Chuck, If it hadn't been for you and your shipmates......it would have been written in Japanesse.

Re: Sub school training manual 1961

Buttons,
I don't remember a text book when I did it in 1952. THE CHIEFS told us what to do and when to do it.

Re: Sub school training manual 1961

Paul, The manual I got was the later one written based on the Guppies in 1961.
The spipmates the came before me in the 1940's and 50's were smarter than I was and didn't need a manual.
