Next Sea Robin Reunion

Shipmates,

The last Sea Robin reunion in Charleston, South Carolina in 2009 was just eight years ago. The youngest living decommissioning crew member is now at least 64 years young. Most of us are much older. Our Eternal Patrol list grows longer each year. With the exception of a few of us getting together now and then, the chances of another Sea Robin Reunion in this world are very slim. Just a thought.

Ship Mates:

While the reality of another reunion with all the members is slim for sure we can continue to have mini reunions and continue being active in this forum. Other than family, there are no other people with whom I regularlly communicate other that the 407 crews. I am greatful for the options that we have to stay in touch. Just 30 years ago we probably would not have remembered half of the crew with whom we served. In fact I can't remember anybody from the Blenny and only a 'couple from the Sealion. We can all thank Paul in being the glue that kept all of this together. Thank you Paul Roggemann for all that you've done and continue to do for this fellowship. HAND SALUTE.

Re: Next Sea Robin Reunion

VERY WELL SAID GOODY I AGREE.

Re: Next Sea Robin Reunion

I'm ready. Just tell me when and where. If its only a mini, its better than nothing.

Soliciting opinions for a USS SEA ROBIN reunion site for 2018

USS RAZORBACK, N. Little Rock

Seems to be several attractions close-by, affordable accommodations. CASINO day-trip is possible also.

Chime is.

other places that interest me are:

CLEVELAND OH - USS COD
MANITOWOC WI - USS COBIA
MUSKEGON MI - USS SILVERSIDES

Chime in!

Re: Next Sea Robin Reunion

Razorback sounds good to me. Since I'm now driving School Bus, I can only make it when school's out. We do have a lot if breaks throughout the year.

Re: Next Sea Robin Reunion

Paul,
I like either the Cobia in Manitowoc, WI, or the Silversides in Muskegon, MI.
Our chapter has done a lot of work on the Cobia, and the Silversides was my reserve boat.

Re: Next Sea Robin Reunion

Shipmates,

How about Galway, Ireland in the Spring of 2018 ?
It's a hell of a fun town, lots of Pubs, friendly people and
lots of Hotels to stay in. Food is good too.

Re: Next Sea Robin Reunion

I WOULD LIKE THE USS COD. THAT WAS MY RESERVE BOAT. WE COULD ALSO DO ROCKING ROLL HALL OF FAME. CASINO AND HOTELS WITHIN WALKING DISTANCE OF USS COD ALSO GREAT RESTURANTS AND PUBS.

Re: Next Sea Robin Reunion

Paul,

My vote is MANITOWOC WI - USS COBIA, followed by Silversides in Michigan.
