MEDICAL UPDATE - Mike Trombley

Yo Paul,
I hadn't forgot you, Its taken this long to get results from the VA. I won't bore you with all the details, but the final results are as follows: I was given a "pace maker" to control Afib (which I never had in the past). I had a real hard time convincing the medical folks that I was still sick even after I had the pace maker installed. Finally a PA at the med. center told me that Lyme disease could have caused the heart problem as well as all the other symptoms I had. She had tests run to establish whether Lyme virus was present, however its not that simple. If the first test is positive more testing (and time) is required. In any case, in the end they determined that I have two variations of Lyme disease and am presently being treated for them.

Hope all is well with you!

Yours Truly
Mike Trombley
