WWII Raymond Cook S1/c 1944-45 ON ETERNAL PATROL

WWII submarine veteran, Raymond J. Cook, aka Merle Cook, 95, of Kent, WA, passed away peacefully on 08/28/2020 while visiting his daughter in Long Beach, WA. He was born to parents Ray and Agnes Cook on 08/07/1925 in Ogema, MN. Ray served his country in WWII as a submariner in the US Navy. After his discharge in 1946, he studied to become an electrician and then worked for Puget Power for 40 years, retiring in 1997. Ray married Anne Catherine Turnbull in Detroit Lakes, MN. Together they raised three children: Steven Paul, Michael Joseph, and Colleen Marie. Anne preceded Ray in death in 2002.
