ERIC "Skip" Clauson QM3(SS) 63-65 on ETERNAL PATROL

Shocking to get this notification that one of my closest "Running Mates" has departed. We ran together for the entire 2 years we served together and came home with me to NJ several times on Liberty.

Sailor, Rest Your Oar"

OBITUARY

Re: ERIC "Skip" Clauson QM3(SS) 63-65 on ETERNAL PATROL

I took the photo of Skip standing on the forward deck. We had just returned from the Portsmouth/Rotterdam trip and were heading to the barracks to get cleaned up. The date would be very close to the end of Oct 1964 making it almost exactly 56 years ago. Skip might have travelled with me home to Hackensack that weekend as he did several times.

Eric " Skip" was a good guy on Sea Robin. I had bean e mailing with him back and forth for a year or 2.
We had a lot in common.

Will miss him and his humor.

Sailor, Rest your oar,

Frenchy

Shocked to hear of Skips passing, He emailed me just days before. He was a good shipmate and pretty funny. When I got out in Aug of 64 skip was heading home on leave and he rode with me to IL. I last seen him and his wife at the Peoria reunion. we exchanged emails for many years. Sailor rest your oar.....you will be missed.
