Natural Flea and Tick Preventatives

My dog is allergic to Frontline...he's been breaking out in bumps where it's applied and is losing hair there too.
Any success with natural preventatives.
I'm more concerned about deer ticks than I am fleas.

They also have something for the bumps your dog has that you can mix with the neem oil to get rid of it.

Re: Natural Flea and Tick Preventatives

Is this regular Frontline or is it PLUS. Have heard that Plus does this. And have seen it. Like you say right where it is applyed.

Frontline Plus

Re: Natural Flea and Tick Preventatives

Bug Off Garlic is all natural for fleas and ticks. Comes in tablet form with beef liver (source of vit. A and should not be used with pregnant dogs).

also comes in powder (only garlic) and is more cost effective.

My sister uses this with great success. 2 dogs playing in a field. One on BOG the other not. Dog without had 36 ticks. Dog with had none.

Sounds to me like it works and I am going to put my dogs on it.

Diatomaceous earth..... yes, dust your dog and his bed...Google it....can someone tell us where to find it??

Re: Natural Flea and Tick Preventatives

I know you can get it at pet shops. They use it in filters for fish tanks, but I'm sure there are other sources.

My father always said to wear gloves, mask and protective eyewear
when using this because of the silica dust. How can it
possibly be good for dusting on your dog? Please read
