Re: Pet Food Recall Culprit -- Sad!

There was a rumor going around about this. I guess it's true but that doesn't explain how it got there.

Re: Pet Food Recall Culprit -- Sad!

Going to turn ABC on in 10 minutes and see if the Cornell news conference is broadcast.

Says the news conference is to be held at 1 p.m. Since the news release came out of NYC, I'm assuming that's 1 p.m. eastern time.

Re: Pet Food Recall Culprit -- Sad!

There is speculation on the anti-ar lists that this could have been intentional. Peta has a standing lawsuit with Iams because they test their foods in develop ment on animals. (duh it is animal food!)

Re: Pet Food Recall Culprit -- Sad!

Just hear a blurp on the radio at 1:05 pm that the news conference is scheduled within the hour. I think it said ABC is scheduled to broadcast.

Re: Re: Pet Food Recall Culprit -- Sad!

If it was PETA--all I can say is that's highly ironic. I hope they have the warm fuzzies about the dogs that died.

Re: Pet Food Recall Culprit -- Sad!

Has anyone seen the broadcast? Where does it report that it was PETA?

I see the ABCnews.com site says to watch for the report tonight with Charlie Gibson. I got called away from the office today so didn't get to turn the TV on and listen for the news conference.

I see the ABCnews.com news release says they are not certain there was only one contaminant.

I think I would look at the quality of ingredients in the dog food I was feeding. I have one on Canidae All Life Stages, and I do like that the meat ingredients are human grade and I do see there is no wheat gluetan, and also that the rice they use is tested for pesticides.
