OFA

I was looking at stud dogs and I seen
example..... OFA: Good LR-11111G30M-NOPI

Could someone please tell me what the "NOPI" means
This is the first time I have seen that

Re: OFA

It means No Permanent Identification. It means the dog is not tattooed or microchipped.

Re: Re: OFA

One of my dogs was OFAd at the trainers. For me, the NOPI meant that the chip I had implanted in her 2 years earlier had gone bad and was no longer working.
It does mean no positive ID.

Re: Re: Re: OFA

From the OFA Application:

The OFA had adopted a policy, effective Jan. 1st, 2001, acknowledging animals that have been submitted for inclusion in our databases that have permanent identification in the form of microchip or tattoo. Animals not permanently identified will continue to be evaluated; however, they will be issued a number clearly indicating that the animal has no permanent identification.
