One of my dogs was OFAd at the trainers. For me, the NOPI meant that the chip I had implanted in her 2 years earlier had gone bad and was no longer working.
It does mean no positive ID.
The OFA had adopted a policy, effective Jan. 1st, 2001, acknowledging animals that have been submitted for inclusion in our databases that have permanent identification in the form of microchip or tattoo. Animals not permanently identified will continue to be evaluated; however, they will be issued a number clearly indicating that the animal has no permanent identification.
